In this activity students produce the correct plural for a given word and use it in a sentence. For example, if the student selects a picture of more than one mouse, they would say “mice” and use it in a sentence (e.g., The mice ate cheese).
MORE, created by the Harvard Graduate School of Education’s READS Lab, is a supplemental curriculum designed build important literacy skills such as students’ language and schemas through exploring science and social studies topics.
In this activity students will evaluate their understanding of a text they have heard. If students are having difficulty with understanding they will choose a “fix up” strategy.
