The Ekwall/Shanker Reading Inventory (Fifth Edition) measures students’ reading and language skills across 12 subtests. This assessment explicitly measures listening comprehension through its listening comprehension subtest during which the practitioner reads passages to the student and monitors their comprehension via comprehension questions.
