A short, ready‑to‑use task or game that gives students practice with one or more component skills. These are “take‑and‑bake” resources intended for occasional use rather than repeated implementation.
During this activity, students brainstorm what they know about a given topic. After engaging with text, they revisit their brainstorm and identify words, ideas, etc. that were used in the text.
In this activity students will evaluate their understanding of a text they have heard. If students are having difficulty with understanding they will choose a “fix up” strategy.
